The best dads DECORATE!

It's not too late to decorate for the holiday season. Even the simple things make a difference. Growing up, we always had an artificial tree that we decorated early in December, but on Christmas Eve, we would go out and get a real tree. Typically on the eve of Christmas, a real tree is free or significantly discounted.

For my family, the real tree marked the holiday and stated we were ready for Christmas. You can decorate inside or outside, a lot or a little, but it truly makes a difference. The younger your kids, nieces and nephews, or friends' kids makes this even more important. It sets the tone for you and your family that this time is different, a time to reflect, a time when things slow down and a time to be thankful for all the blessings during the last year.
