The best dads build PINEWOOD DERBY CARS!

I built cars with my boys in Cub Scouts for many years. This is one video I definitely recommend. It outlines the basic concepts if you want your car to be competitive. I started when my kids were in first grade and then progressed through intermediate school. The older the kids, the more they can contribute to the process - the idea, cutting/shaping the car, the build, the paint, decals or stickers and test runs.

Last year, my son wanted to create a Bugati. We went with his idea, the shape of the car, his color scheme, everything. I assisted him and he was very proud of his creation. He won first in his Den and placed in the top 10 for the Pack. He was ecstatic. There is a ton of information on the Internet on how to build a car. Here are some photos I want to share with you.
