The best dads REFLECT!
As we go through life, it makes sense to take a step back and reflect.
I woke up early before our first Dads Club Breakfast this past week. I realized this is the final year for my fourth grader in elementary school. We have had a child at Walnut Grove Elementary for the last seven years.
I welcomed all the dads and their kids to the breakfast. I asked all the fourth graders to raise their hands; there were many, I reminded them enjoy this final year at the Grove. I asked all the kindergartners to raise their hands and welcomed them to Walnut Grove. I asked all the kids who were in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades to raise their hands and I welcomed them back.
I shared my oldest son is now a freshman in high school. They will enjoy the intermediate, middle and high schools in Carroll ISD, because they are all special. Their is a unique connection between the parents, students and the school at the Grove.
I challenged them to enjoy each year, learn from their teachers, have fun with the different experiences and create memories.
